The Ruby Theatre tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot in the city that really captures the soul of New York's vibrant arts scene? The Ruby Theatre is exactly that. It’s one of those venues that feels like a hidden gem but also a true cultural landmark. Over the years, it’s really adapted, you might catch a classic film screening one night, then a lively community play the next. In 2026, they upped the ante with a holiday concert featuring local choirs, turning the place into a festive haven full of singing and good cheer. The theatre has hosted an annual film festival since 2017, giving indie filmmakers a chance to shine and share their work with the city. The best seats? Well, the front row of the mezzanine is a sweet spot if you want an unblocked view of the stage, but honestly, wandering around open seating can lead to some pretty fun, unexpected conversations with fellow theater lovers. And getting there? Easy. If you’re near the maritime museum, a quick cab will get you right in, or hop on the subway if you're coming from the major highways. Honestly, whether you're into cutting-edge performances or just looking for a lively night out, the Ruby Theatre keeps things fresh, fun, and full of surprises.
